Ancient Archetype of Majestic Power

Horses have been working alongside leaders building empires for thousands of years. They were the solid companions to Julius Caesar who rode a magnificent steed said to poses's cloven hooves. Genghis Kahn, "emperor of all emperors",  with his mounted Mongol army, swept out of the steppes of Asia in an apocalyptic wave to conquer two thirds of the known world. Napoleon, Bonaparte's powerful white stead was really  over 150 horses.  One of them... Vizier, one of the Emperor's favorites, a gray Arab was a gift from the Sultan of Turkey in 1805 and 10 years later Napoleon brought it with him to Saint-Helena. He now resides - stuffed - in the Musée de l'Armée in Paris .
